AUTOHEMO: HERPES ZOSTER, POLIO AND RABIES 49H1
Saxon [49H1] discusses the utility of autohemotherapy in
various conditions, with particular focus on herpes zoster, which
condition "belongs to the significant group of neuro-tropic virus
diseases, the others being acute anterior poliomyelitis and
rabies." Aside from this implication by association that
autohemotherapy might be useful in rabies and polio, Saxon does
not refer to having attempted it in either.
AUTOHEMO: IRRADIATION NOT NECESSARY 49H1
Saxon [49H1] asserted that it was not necessary to subject
autoblood, after withdrawal, to the action of ultraviolet light,
as had been practiced by the Hahnemann school of Philadelphia.
Saxon's 10 years' experience led him to "claim that the curative
effect in this therapy is the blood serum, which contains all the
protective bodies - whatever they may be ..." and not any changes
in the plasma that might be attributed to ultraviolet rays.
VACCINETHERAPY, DANGERS OF OVERDOSAGE WITH 49H1
Saxon [49H1] "... the failure of vaccine therapy ... in my
opinion is due to over-dosage and upsetting the delicate
immunological balance."
