AUTOHEMO: ACNE 47A3
Ross and Richeson [47A3] obtained improvement in 10 of 10 cases
of acne after 10 injections; notably after only 5 injections, one
case had gotten worse and 6 others had not improved.
A feature of their technic: "No local applicatins were
permitted during the course of treatment. ... The method adopted
was the usual method of autohemotherapy, consisting of
withdrawing blood from a cubital vein, and immediately
reinjecting it in the buttock. The planned course consisted of 2
injections a week for a total of 10 injections. The first
injection was a test dose of 5 cc of whole blood, and all
subsequent doses were 10cc."
