AUTOSEROTHERAPY: IV vs IM 23H1
Ormsby O, in Wright C S [23H1], discussion, reported less
satisfactory results with intramuscular than with IV serum.
Wright responded that his experience was virtually the same with
both, whereas with the IV method there may be more reaction,
which might account for occasional better results [and greater
danger].
AUTOHEMO: SKIN DISEASES - DECREASING DOSE TECHNIC - 23H1
Moberg in Wright [23H1] employed autohemotherapy with
decreasing doses, 20cc at first and later 10cc, in pemphigus,
dermatitis herpiformis, urticaria, eczema, and prurigo. In most
cases of eczema some improvement was observed. [Such an approach
is compatible with the concept of passive immunization, and
contrary to predominant autohemotherapy methodology and contrary
to vaccinetherapy]
